JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Maximo Functional Consultant will lead the design and delivery of solutions to complex client Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) challenges. In this role, you will work directly with clients and colleagues to understand business requirements and design a solution using IBM Maximo. You will be responsible for understanding client needs and recommending solutions based on those needs. You will be expected to lead design sessions, document your proposed solutions, and participate in system testing to ensure the delivery of a quality solution. While this role is primarily functional, it requires basic technical knowledge of IBM Maximo to ensure the feasibility of recommended solutions and to successfully interact with the technical team.
Industry experience and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential in this role. You must be comfortable leading design workshops and writing high-quality documents.
This is a full-time, remote (with 25-50% travel) role for a direct hire; contract employees are not currently eligible. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Candidates will be required to pass a criminal background check.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Conduct design workshops to obtain client requirements and map requirements to solutions
- Design EAM solutions for work, asset, and inventory management tailored to client needs
- Provide guidance to technical team to ensure continuity between design and development
- Validate technical solutions to ensure completeness before client delivery
- Provide guidance to client leadership, stakeholders and SMEs at both strategic and tactical levels
- Prepare formal and informal written documents and other communications
- Possess strong knowledge of work management, asset management and inventory management practices and associated Maximo modules
- Travel: Up to 50% travel required
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Five or more years’ experience in IBM Maximo
- Demonstrated experience leading design and development activities
- B.S. or higher in business, technology or engineering preferred, but demonstrated experience may be substituted at the hiring manager’s discretion
- IBM Maximo certification preferred
