IBM Champions – Maven has two!

For over 15 years, the IBM Champion program has recognized individual experts and thought leaders who utilize IBM’s wide range of products, offerings, and technologies in hardware, software, analytics, and cloud computing, IBM acknowledges individuals each year who continuously work to share their knowledge and expertise with others. 

Nominations for IBM Champions are made in the fall of each year. Each candidate is evaluated based on their contributions to furthering the education of others on a unique IBM product or technology. These contributions come from a from a wide range of sources including: 

  • Writing books, white papers, or blogs 
  • Presenting at IBM or industry-leading conferences 
  • Mentoring or coaching individuals 
  • Organizing product-specific user group meetings 
  • Responding to complex technical issues in virtual product forums 
  • Creating videos highlighting a product’s features or best practices 

Each of these activities highlights the individual’s tireless commitment to share their subject matter expertise in helping others expand their knowledge within their IBM technical community. 

After nominations are received, the IBM Champion program team selects the individual top contributors as champions. Over 840 individuals have been recognized as IBM Champions for their work in 2022. These individuals represent 60 different countries and span a variety of business roles including engineers, architects, developers, and more.

IBM’s Maximo and Maximo Application Suite products are contained within IBM’s Sustainability Division, which includes IBM Tririga, Supply Chain, and Envizi Sustainability Solutions. This IBM Sustainability Product division accounted for 6% of the 2023 IBM Champions. 

Maven is thrilled to announce that two of its employees have been recognized as IBM Champions: Matt Midas and Pam Denny.      

Maven’s IBM Champions:

Pam Denny, Director of Enterprise Solutions, Maven Asset Management

For nearly 25 years, Pam has worked with IBM’s Maximo software product, and is a recognized Subject Matter Expert in Analytics and Mobile. In 2022, Pam continued to create content within the Maximo social communities while also sharing the latest information and demonstrations on Maximo’s latest platform – Maximo Application Suite.   

Matt Midas, Director of Business Development, Maven Asset Management

Matt has worked with IBM’s Maximo software product for over 27 years, and throughout that time, has continuously worked to educate the Asset Management Community and end users on the value of Maximo and Asset Management Best Practices. Matt is a recognized Subject Matter Expertise of Maximo Scheduling and Planning, and throughout 2022, Matt shared his experiences and expertise on this topic and others at user conferences, blogs and industry seminars.

A maven is an expert who is eager to share their knowledge with others, and is the inspiration for our name. Extending high-quality education to all is one of Maven’s core values. Matt and Pam embody the importance of educating others through their continued work to share their knowledge, industry expertise, and experiences.
