Meet Matt. He is our Director of Business Development.

Matt has been in plant operations and maintenance for 37 years, but in the Maximo industry specifically for 27 years. His favorite thing about Maven is the “can-do” attitude of everyone and he really enjoys his co-workers. You can find his own “can-do” attitude in his dedication to his work and through his resourceful and reliable characteristics.

Knowing what he knows now, Matt wishes he could have told his younger self, “Anything is possible!” and to always keep learning. Matt believes continual self-improvement and knowing that you can always learn something new is the best way to grow personally and professionally.

His biggest pet peeve is saying you will do something but not following through. And that includes when he says he will do his least favorite chore – cleaning the gutters! If Matt says he will do it, he will, but he won’t always enjoy it. But speaking of enjoyment, Matt’s favorite place in the world is sitting on his dock with his wife, Sue. He thoroughly enjoys the relaxation, but he also has a hidden sense of adventure in him too. If he could be any fictional character, it would be Dirk Pitt from the Clive Cussler books.

In his free time, he likes to read, bike, go fishing, and explore the Chesapeake Bay with Sue and their dogs. He reads both for work and personal enjoyment. One of the coolest things Matt is interested in is migrating to renewable energy. He believes that there are going to be some incredible advances in power sources over the next few decades, and he cannot wait to watch it all happen.

We have asked Matt to share five more things you may or may not have known about him.
